We have a couple stories about how this came about, We will talk about some accomplishments and some fun KS facts about the campaign. Do you know what was the most popular mat design?
Fantasy Mat:
Speaking of mats, I have been getting a lot of feed back about the fantasy mat. Everyone knew this was a late addition and I choose to let everyone in on the design process. The vision for this mat was to include subtle artistic 1 inch grids. I have been getting a lot of wonderful feedback, and honestly in my gut (and I have plenty to go around) I started feeling that it will be much better without grids and have greater wide scale appeal. I do not want to let anyone down and it is of utmost importance to me to honor my word.
So I need your help. I put up a poll on our Game Topper Nation Facebook Group (Please join if you haven't already) asking advise. So far it is overwhelmingly against having the grid 49 to 2. I looks like my intuition is correct but i would like any backer that has chosen the fantasy mat to chime in. Simply go to the group and click for or against. Very simple. This will help me make a final decision that needs to be made this week.
If we decide to change the art direction to "No Grid" will you have a chance to change your order?
The answer is yes, if you email us at [email protected] we can work that out for you. The system will not allow you to make a changes to a locked order, but we can make the manual adjustment for you up to the November fulfillment time for "Mat Only Pledges" and the March delivery time for "Topper" Pledges. We are hoping to deliver early if all goes well so please let us know as soon as possible!
International Orders:
All international Orders have been gone through individually to insure correct shipping was calculated. The credit card charges are being processed for Add-ons, Shipping, & VAT. These Charges come from Stripe the credit card processor of Backerkit and Kickstarter. It is common especially for international charges to get flagged for Fraud so please make sure you contact you credit card to approve these charges if you get a notice.

Orders have been Locked and Fantasy Mat Update

Hello Game Topper Nation!
Thank you all so much for your support throughout the campaign and through our first month of Late Pledges! We couldn't have done this without all of your help!
Locked down orders and Credit Card charges.
We have locked all orders last weekend and are working through processing those orders as we speak. United States orders will be charged sometime today, while International orders will be charged early next week. It's takes a bit of time for us to go through and verify that everything looks good and we will be spending some time with family camping later this week so that is the reason for the delay in charging the International orders. Any emails from Thursday to Sunday responses will be handled on next Monday.
If there is a concern please, please understand we will take care of you next week, even if your card has been charged and you have a concern just drop us an email and we will help you.
One thing I'm sure you all know about us by now is that we really value the interactions with our Backers and we strive to provide the best level of customer service that we can. The best way to reach us with questions regarding your orders is by emailing [email protected]
Fantasy Mat
And here we have another update from the fantastic Yaroslav of his Fantasy mat. A few more details are coming and the 1 inch grid. this is not going to be an overlay but an artistic grid built in to the terrain so it is subtle and not be overly distracting, but can be used as role playing surface. This is our intention for this run. We may offer a non grid on our next campaign, we'll see! So far the response has been crazy strong on this design.
This is nearing completion at this point. We have been so excited by this mat and our other new designs. It is great to see the artwork come to life and to be able to share that process with all of you!

My heart is so full and I am so grateful for each of you!!! I was thrilled to meet many of you at GenCon! Sadly, I missed several of you while I was in a lot of meetings. If I could share with you all the doors that are opening up for our company you would be amazed! This only means more gamer goodness coming from Game Toppers. I must admit after the 10 straight weeks of pushing 80 plus hours a week prior to getting home from GenCon I was grateful to "kind of" take a few days off and try to recharge. I don't know that I was successful. I am now transitioning from marketing hat to more full production mindset so we can get these great gaming upgrades to you all. So here we go...
First Note: This Friday we will be doing a live Q & A if anyone has any questions about products or Late pledging.
Our Ratafia, Champagne celebration has been rescheduled to Friday Sept 6th 6PM CDT. Kay King, Josiah, Myself and possibly some of my family will join everyone for a toast and fun stuff.
Late Pledge Manager:
Our Storage bags, Lord Burkton Storage rack, The dice tower and dice tray kits, and extension leaf bundles are a huge hit! So many options!
By and large it seems we have done pretty well with this very complex pledge offerings. You will never know how much work we (Josiah mostly) have put into making it an relatively easy process. It's not perfect due to our complexity and limitations Bakerkit has, but overall I'm very pleased.
We have about 300 or so that still need to verify their addresses and complete any add ons they may like. Please check your spam filters and make sure you have used the same email as Kickstarter and correct phone number. This will be used for your delivery.
Note: We are keeping all the 40 Stretch Goals and Special Kickstarter Prices open till Aug 25th. Then on Monday the 26th if all goes well, we will charge all backers for their shipping charges, taxes, and for their add ons. We did this to help others, particularly at GenCon take advantage of our Kickstarter and give people extra time to break out their payments. After this date some Stretch Goals will go away, a few items will go away and some prices will be changed.
Local Pickup in Fergus Falls, MN 56537. If you would like to pick up there is a 25.00 handling fee but the rest of the shipping will be credited. Please email us at [email protected] to be put in the pick up list.
Few clarifications that people have had a few questions about in the pledge manger:
Mat Storage Bag Stretch Goal:
If you order 2 mats you will receive 2 mat storage bags. It's fairly clear if you order 2 of the same size mats you get 2 free mat storage bags, but what if you order two different sizes? The same is true. The software does not allow us to include the bag SKU automatically as it does with the 2 mat pledge. Rest assured if you order two separate mats you will get two mat bags. You do not have to do anything, we will do that during fulfillment.
Mycroft Rail:
We did not make a rail bundle for the Mycroft. With the new 3 piece Mycroft design it didn't seem like there would be as much of a demand for it. However, we found this was not always the case. Several Gen 1 backers wanted them and some are buying an extra Leaf for their Mycroft and getting two rails so they can make 2 Moriarty's. Solution; You can buy a 48" Mycroft Rail separate, but because of so many different mat size configurations it's best to order the size of mat separate. We will however automatically include a double rail padded storage bag Free if you buy a 48 inch rail.
Can I add on to my order after Aug 25th?
I'm so glad you asked. We will be locking down the orders on the the 25th and charging cards on the 26th, after the order is locked you cannot change it, however, we can manually add to it and charge your card for any extra add ons you may like after this date. Honestly we can do this up to fulfillment time, but it is a manual process we must initiate on the back end. Please email us [email protected] and we can take care of any add ons.
Acrylic covers:
Here a few more pictures of the covers. They are very nice. They fit relatively close to the edges. It very close to flush. (The first picture below looks raised, but it is flush) The middle "side legs that are heat folded" will only be out 6 inches so the center of your table where the game board is will be undisturbed. To support this will be foam blocks to carry the load. They definitely will hold the weight of a small pet. They can be reversed and set on top of your game mat and then you can use dry erase marker for role playing games. You could eat on them, but there is some flex. I'm not wanting to oversell this as a solid top. It serves as a nice cover and protect games in play and has this cool dry erase solution.
Fantasy mat:
Yarolsav just got back from vacation and is working on finalization. The art works is being completed with 1 inch grid incorporated into the terrain is a subtle way.

Wow! what a ride ending an awesome Kickstarter and needing to travel to the largest gaming convention in North America, GenKAAAAAAAN! ok, Gencon. I'm going to make this quick as I need to get to the booth.
There has been so much to do, but its ALIVE!!!!! ok, live. We have been working around the clock literally to proof and vet backer survey.
It was a very complex build, but Josiah has done an amazing job putting together what we hope will be a very seamless system for you to fill-out your choices and add on anything you would like.
Please check you spam folders to make sure you receive Kickstarter and [email protected] and [email protected] so you see the survey to make you style choices and add on any items you may like. You have till Aug 25th to fill it out so there is no pressure, so you have some time to think about items you may want to add.
We are incredible busy with the flurry of Gen Con, so if you have any questions if you could help us out please, Please email us you questions or concerns at [email protected] . The comments get really hard to follow when the page gets filled up and we don't want to miss a single question or concern.
